December 2, Welcome to Prayer Partners! (Dec2/07)

Dear Prayer Partners,

First I want to welcome new prayer partner's who have been added to the growing list of prayer supporters.  If you know of others with email who would like to receive this letter have them send us a request by email.   When I tried sending the test had some returned messages from those requesting the prayer letter so if you know of people who signed up but are not receiving this have them email us directly and we'll add them to the list.

I want to thank you for your prayers during this home assignment period.  God was good to us.  We apologize for not getting a letter out but we were busy.

We are officially on vacation now, in preparation for our return to the field on December 16.  We will speak in the Sunday A.M. service tomorrow in the Tyler, Tx Lakeview church, then Sunday evening service we will be watching our Grandchildren's Christmas program at Richardson, TX.  Then our son Gary only lacks a couple of courses to graduate.  He is allowed to walk through the graduation line and will participate in the graduation at SNU on Saturday the 8 Dec.  Out of 4 children this will be the 2nd that we were home to witness their graduation.  I am thankful that he was allowed to walk so we could witness this.  This is very special for us because when Gary was young we never dreamed he would even attend college much less graduate.  God has blessed him and honored his dogged determination.  Out of all of our children, I am sure without a doubt that Gary is the most well known as a student at SNU.  Then on the 8th we will open our family Christmas presents as we celebrate an early Christmas in preparation for our return to the field.  Then the 9th of December, we will speak in my brother's church in Taloga.   Remember us in prayer during this hectic time.

Home Assignment:

To briefly summarize our home assignment:  During our three month of home assignment we have spoken 90 times, in 68 different venues, mostly churches, but we also spoke at a children's mission rally, at 2 Christian Schools, and shared the story in 3 homes.  We held 6 district tours, including Joplin (parts of the states of Kansas and Missouri), Northwest District (Includes parts of the states on Wash and Idaho), Northeast Oklahoma, North Alabama, North Florida, and then Virginia. In addition to the district tours we held other services, mostly in Oklahoma and Texas.  We were fairly busy this time.  It was great seeing some of you on furlough.

Deputation Sermon:

For my deputation sermon I spoke about breaking down the walls of opposition so we can minister.  If you would like to have a copy of the script of my message, please email me and ask for one.  Also I can send a copy of the power-point if you would like it too.  My email on the field is more expensive and so I'd appreciate it if you would request this before our return.

Prayer Needs:

Packing up of our crate and getting doing our final preparations for our return.

Our district Assembly and Church training meetings will be held Jan 8-12, 2008 which is soon after our return.

Jan 14-17 will be our Jesus Film Training time.

Then Feb. 6-8 is our Bible College Board Meeting,

Soon afterwards in mid-Feb. will be the start of our Bible College Class

Pray for our Son Geoffrey, wife Churie and their two children as they are preparing to come over as volunteers.

In addition to all of this I will need to get out to the provinces to visit churches.

We have a need for Work and Witness teams to come to the Solomon Islands and help us build school buildings.

Thanks,

George Miller
